Electrical is typically installed in two stages. There is the rough in stage when we install the wiring and boxes. The second stage is the trim work and that is when we install the devices and fixtures. It is recommended that the trim be done once the paint has been completed.

Almost any light switch can be replaced with a dimmer as long as the correct dimmer is selected and the fixture has dimming capabilities.

You may have tripped a GFCI. GFCIs are typically located in bathrooms, garages, and kitchens. If you notice the reset button on the receptacle is sticking out or there is a red light on the GFCI, hit the reset button. If it keeps tripping, having a professional look at the issue is recommended.
